Public filing requirements are not onerous in the BVI, in comparison with other jurisdictions.
Business Companies (BCs) are required to place details of registered offices, registered agents and memorandum and articles of association on the record.
There is no obligation to appoint an auditor to a BC or to file accounts. BCs are required to maintain a registered office and a registered agent in the BVI. The agent has to maintain certain documentation, such as the memorandum and articles, the register of members and various documents filed over the previous 10 years.
Pearse Trust is experienced in advising on compliance requirements in the BVI.
